Service Description
I was drafted in to the Army March 1968.Went to NCOC shcool and did my OJT at Fort Polk,LA.Went to Viet Nam "69-70.Was assigned to 3/21 196th LIB company C 2ND Plt. 1st Squad leader.Later became Plt.Sargent on Motor Hill after Salerno was wounded along with the RTO.Went on to Plt.Leader when officers were'nt available.Sent to the rear to push new troops,went home in April of '70.
About Me
I have been married to the same wonderful wife for 36 years.Have three children,one son,one daughter and one adopted korean daughter.I now have four grandchildren,2 boys and 2 girls.I have been working for MacDonnell Douglas/Boeing for 41 years,29 yrs as a machinist and the remander as a instructor/Facilitator teaching and facilitating self directed work teams. I am a avid collector of military surplus firearms and go to shooting range to enjoy them often.
Additional Information
I have been in contact with the Medic for 2nd Plt and later company Medic and shared some old war stories.I stil have and always will have the deepest respect for those Medics.All the ones I new always went above and beyond in the field.Take care and stay healthly DOC.
