On September 22, 1969 Earl Powers recorded a cassette  tape to send home to his wife.   He filled up the tape sharing details about what was happening in his area.   Side two of the tape had to be restored on the computer because apparently it was recorded with weak batteries that caused the tape head to turn slower.  With the help of the computer side two can now be heard clearly.  Because of the slower recording speed the 30 minute tape ended up being close to 40 minutes once restored.  Above we have turned the audio tape into a video with pictures.  The audio has been edited and only includes parts related to what he was seeing and the events that were happening in his area.  The edited tape is approximately 30 minutes long.
