Service Description
Served in country August 1968 - 1969

Entered as PFC Exited as E-5. Was in squad with Jim Shaw, Joe (Monk) Mendoza, Doug Van Duine (VD), Horner ( sqd ldr), and Bob Koleman. Was wounded on patrol near Nui Loc Son, I was about the 8th guy from point. I was knocked off the rice patty dike wounded in the head and scrotum. As I was being helped across the dike to the dustoff point, I almost grabbed another trip wire. But many thanks to Brooks he grabbed my hand and threw me back into the patty thus saving my life.

About Me

I now live in NC and have been married to my wife Joyce for 39 yrs. I have 2 daughters and twin granddaughters (identical). I retired from the telephone company in 2002 and have enjoyed life even more. I love to fish and enjoy operating Ham Radio (N5NC).

Additional Information
Thanks to I served with especially Bob Koleman for his continual contact with me, Like to hear from more of the squad.
